My parents got me a coral for my tank last week but do not know what it is they bought me. They said "it looked cool and the fish guy said it would be good with what was already in the tank" and they bought it. I do not know what it is though. Does anyone know what it is? Thank you!!

Have a picture of it retracted?

It resembles structurally a galaxea to me, but i have never seen them anything but green.
Hairy mushrooms resemble it but i think i see too many polyps and mouths.

This is not a great picture. I will take another one up close. Also, it hasn't opened back up since I placed it. I put it in and it opened within an hour and since then, it has stayed closed.

Its a stony skeleton or soft?

Look up different euphylia corals and hairy mushroom corals. See if these line up. Outside chance would be elegance coral, but i dont think i am seeing that.

the first pick look like a galaxy coral but the second pic of it I don't know
