I received my order from Aqua SD today but along with what I had purchased was a freebie, it looks a green mushroom or green zoa. Anyways thanks in advance.

Well unexpected, I was never going to add zoa's because of the toxins they may carry but looks like I'll give it a shot. Thanks
make sure you wear gloves! (which you should be doing anyway to prevent the chemicals on your hand like lotion, soap, etc, from getting into the tank)

I hear you! I've been using gloves never know what you may have on your hands. Thank you.

It looks like a common green palythoa to me as well. Given my experiences with them, I'd put it inside a couple plastic bags and straight into the trash.

As long as you are careful, and keep it well isolated to control the spread you should be ok, but as mentioned, gloves and eye protection are a good idea. Surround it with a bunch of rubble rock so that as it spreads you can just remove pieces without really disturbing it all that much.
