I have a 20 gallon long tank my friend asked if I could take some of his coral. He is removing his aquariums. I have no clue what they are and neither does he I want to know what I’m dealing with, every little piece of information helps.

Also the anemone in #1 on the dead coral skeleton is a pest. Dont recommend introducing it into your tank.

#1 isn't dead yet, just a bit pale and not happy, I'd say some kind of dendro or tubastrea. That one would probably appreciate being handed off to someone experienced with their care, not exactly a low effort background coral.

No idea on #2, first thought was funghia but it looks weird, is that trunk to the right part of it?

My guess for #3 is unhappy Alcyonium, but might be another softie, probably also nps and not for beginners

#4 is either a sponge, another softie, or something dead, no idea

Wow that really does look like a sea pansy looks pretty happy in there. All the other coral is not happy it was kept in really bad conditions, what do you guys recommend doing to boost these guys up.

Also all the coral is alive it has polyps open all over it collecting food. Especially the sea pansy. I’m trying to figure out where he got all of this coral, he really had know idea what he was doing I think he actually grabbed them from the beach. I’m not 100% sure but his story is suspicious and these coral look terrible.

Grabbed from the beach might actually make a lot of sense. I don't think you see most of these specimens at fish stores very often :D

Leaning towards Aiptasia anemone on whatever #1 is. EDIT: Actually maybe not aiptasia. No idea lol sorry.
