I was at Petco and saw this light blue coral with pink on the outside and it’s flat. Any ideas and I know you can’t see it but I can’t change the lighting.

Those all look like shrooms.

I’d say shrooms but it looks like it has a skeleton.
Possibly an unhappy encrusting monti?

Ha ha seen your picture first before reading and Instantly thought of above thread you made other week about white lights please and not blue as we can't see blue light so good.
Maybe others can't change their lights but alot times I see the blue pictures and think again lol.

But anyhow, not sure on your coral, maybe from your description others can be able to tell.
Or use Google lens when next at petco but take picture with flash on and hopefully flash on your phone gets rid off some off the blue in tank .
My Google lens is on my phones home page what outlined in blue then press this then choose a picture from gallery then Google lens is excellent on alot off stuff and especially fish pictures, corals tbh as so many look similar it does struggle but sometimes get lucky.
If already know about Google lens fair enough, but if not, hopefully it helps you getting sone id on stuff in future.
Good luck and wasn't being funny about your thread, just made me chuckle so thought share ha ha

It could be a mushroom with it’s foot attached to a skeleton or piece of rubble.
Thats what it look like to me. The other reason it that petco usually separates coral on type. Since it's surrounded by other mushrooms furthers the argument for a mushroom.

Galaxy phones have pro mode that can remove blue. Sometimes a simple flash will be enough. Going to a store to look at coral I carry an orange lens with me just in case I need something Id

Had Samsung phones for long long time now,but only just learnt in last few months from a video someone shared on r2r about pro mode and how best to take photos and get rid of blue etc and also recently also on r2r someone mentioned about Google lens, and I'm trying my best to let others know which every thread on a what's this id thread, always get someone saying thanks, never knew about it.
Good idea taking orange lens with you to lfs incase need id,them little clip on ones seem to do the job and relatively inexpensive also
