Hi Guys

Having a good sunday?? Any idea whats happening to my GSP?? Looks like its dying back slightly on the bottom right. Polyps are closed due to a massive hermit! Otherwise looks fine

It could be the picture or lighting, but the tissue looks "bleached" to me. Should be "purple" if healthy, even with the polyps retracted.

Where's it's location in the tank. Mine loves low light.

Thanks for the quick response, the tissue has always been a pinky white colour, never been purple. GSP has been growing like a weed!!! Just noticed this this morning. Rest of the coral seems healthy

Any idea why it might have suddenly decided to do this?

Thanks :)

How often do you do water changes? Could be lacking something.

25% once a week. Is it worth just keeping an eye on it?

Yes, of course. What lights are you using and how long are they on?

Do you have any other corals near by that could be touching it?

Not got the best light. Its cheap! Came with the tank as a set up. Have it on 8 hours a day. It is enough to grow stylophora though so dont think the GSP would have an issue. Have zoas, euphilyia and acans as well, nothing is remotely close to the GSP

Just found this photo from a couple weeks ago looks like quite a considerable chunck has gone

Okay, could be a water parameter issue.

What's your water parameters?

Sorry its taken me so long, was out of the house. Just finished an up to date water test

Nitrates are elevated but ive seen worse, due a water change btw

Temperature - 25°C
PH - 8.2
Ammonia - 0.0
Nitrite - 0.0
Nitrate - 21
Phosphate - 0.01
Salinity - 1.025
Alkalinity - 8.5
Calcium - 440
Magnesium - 1460

Its a 25% water change sorry, Not 25% :D
