Guys I have a Kent aquarium with leds its says they are strong enough to keep corals . Do I need to leave my lights on constantly. It has blue light and clear which ones need to be on for the corals to thrive

Light go on for 8 hrs and wish corals you go to keep it

You want to buy a light controller so your lights will depict sunrise to sunset. You don't wanna keep them at a strong setting all day long, you want it to
Change threw out the day.

How would I connect to the light I have in the hood or will I need a new light unit

I doubt your light can be hooked up to a controller if it came in the hood.

As long as your just keeping soft corals or ones that don't need lots of light you can get a timer and set it for the blues to come on first for an hour then have whites come on with the blues for rest of the day then have whites go off an hour before blues. Example: 8:00am blue on 9:00am whites on, 6:00pm whites off, 7:00 blues off. Most pet stores sell double outlet timers with extra outlets for your heater skimmer etc.

Could you point in the direction to what's sort of timer I need could you send me a pic of one maybe thanks

This is good.

These are my switches on the hood . So I'd leave them switched on the put the plug in the timer then set it for what time and what lights to come on is that right?
