Coral may be dying need help

Conductivity and salinity are not the same thing. Conductivity in this case is how quickly an electrical current moves through water, whereas salinity refers to how much salt (sodium) is in the water. More sodium means more ions in the water, which means more conductivity. So yes, with the right fomula you should be able to calculate salinity by knowing the conductivity, but they are not the same thing.

The measurment of Salinity in a reef environment is most commonly expressed as parts per thousand or specific gravity. Conductivity is a good measure of salinity in water but referring to measurments of refraction via refractometer is more applicable.
 
Is there any receding on the torch coral? If not, it may be pooping. My Duncan did that and i also freaked out. Once it all came out, it went back to normal. Check out this link:

This was my first thought too until I read how high his salinity is, which made me think maybe he does have a problem. Seeing a polyp poop for the first time can be disconcerting if you don't know what's going on. ;)
