Hey all, I have been in the hobby just under a year. Not well versed on coral at all. Yesterday I bought a bunch of coral from another local hobbyist shutting down one of his 3 tanks. I currently have it in a RSR Nano and RSR 170 for 76 day fallow period. What recommendations do you all have for proper care? It is mostly sps. But a mix. Pics attached. My current display is mostly pallys, zoas, some GSP. I do run carbon and GFO on my display (750 XXL). Any insight is much appreciated, I'm a fish nerd, so coral is all new to me.

The only SPS I see is a large montipora cap. I see a mix of LPS and softies. For the montipora I'd keep it mid to high in the tank with medium to high indirect flow. The LPS I see are branching hammer and frogspawn which are euphyllias. Low placement with low yo medium indirect flow. Another LPS I see is a candy cane coral which you can keep middle to low placement and low indirect flow. For softies I see discoma mushrooms, keep low and isolated as they can spread quickly.

Ok, thanks for info. I have a lot of hard to keep fish, which don't necessarily care about water parameters as much. Can you provide me with insight as far as for all of this coral in general what I should test for and or chemicals I need to dose?

For now I would test for alkalinity, calcium and magnesium. I don't think your demand will be very high but it's important to keep those parameters stable. As corals grow there uptake of the elements will increase. Depending on your water change routine dosing of those 3 might be required but not in high amounts.
