Coral on glass or back glass

hello all I have seen some corals crowing on overflow, back glass etc... I know it’s not gsp but some really cool corals I want to say they are cyphastrea...am I correct can they be placed on the back glass? If not cyphastrea what corals can be placed on glass?

cyphastrea can be put on the glass with no problem

You can probably trick xenia into growing on it, and everything else in the tank!
