I am wondering if there are benefits or problems associated with attaching coral on the outflow back part of my tank?

Will it cause problems downstream?

I am thinking entrusting coral that would look nice instead of the black and give me more space for coral. What kind is or is not recommended?

Thanks for your recommendations!

@DSC reef has green star polyps growing on the overflow. Don't know anyone whose used SPS encrusting coral though.

It's hard to get a picture of the GSP in the nano but this is what DSC was talking about. We glued a piece that was a inch big and it has taken over pretty fast. I love the look of GSP on the over flow. You would need to trim it as it got closer to the drain openings but so worth it and GSP is super easy to remove. Just peel it.

I just place a couple rocks with some gsp near the overflow and they jumped on to it. I don't see any reason why you couldn't just superglue a frag to the overflow though.

Im thinking about doing this. Can they jump off of the overflow and go on the rocks? Can they detach and float around the tank?

Thanks

Those are all awesome reef pics using the GPS!!

Thank you for sharing!
