Coral only

Can you keep a coral only tank? Looking for answer for this argument me and my cousin are having?

It can be done, but if you don't have fish you would likely have to dose nitrates and phosphates. You would also have to feed the corals more than normal.

Many experienced reef keepers have frag tanks with a single utility fish in it, so it can be done.

Yes you can definitely keep a coral only tank. However, from my experience adding key fish can help with the health,and maintenance of a reef tank.

So far, so good for me. I'm not experienced, but currently have torches, hammers, paly/zoas, and gsp… everything is surviving and thriving.

Same here soft coral only no fish. Everything is growing with just light and reef roids.
