This is my 10 gallon after a water change, my question is about the frogspawn and its placement for flow.
Currently I have it some what under the output of my hob filter and it seems to open nicely but I'm not sure if that's the best spot because when it gets too big it might be sucked into the filter, also I havent glued it down yet because I'm not sure if I want it on the arched rock or where it is now.
Also I've had less then stellar luck with 2 sps frags, as you can see the bleached one there but I'm trying again with the one you see near the frogspawn. Where is the best spot for that one? It's a really small birds of paradise that hasn't opened since I've purchased it earlier this week, I'm sure it needs time to acclimate more but proper placement would help.

I appreciate the help and apologize for formatting because im on mobile. Thanks

How long has your tank been up and running? What is the lighting you are using and the light schedule? What are your parameters? As far as the Frog placement, I would suggest moving the Frog to the left of the arch. Positioned right here. Flow, but not too much, room to grow without getting sucked into the intake, and balance with the rock-work. I know it will seem a little lop-sided but you will fill in the right with other corals as you add corals.

I'm not certain that SPS's will do well in a tank with only a HOB. I would wait on Acro's till you upgrade to a larger system...

I just moved to this tank a couple weeks ago for a shrimp and goby pair, originally had clown, kenya tree and gsp in a 5 gallon cube and now in a 10 gallon. The bleached birds of paradise was doing alright in the 5 gallon before it slowly bleached but so far this one isnt opening, no worries as I didnt pay much for them and maybe I'll hold off on sps until I have a larger system with protein skimmer and all the bells and whistles.
The light I'm using is a "coral box aqua led" and its preset Lps timer was on for 16 hours so I took it down to about 12 and kept all the light percentages the same.
I'm getting some diatom and/or dino blooms pretty good in this tank probably because it's so newly setup. And thanks for the help, I'll probably put the frog there, seems like the best spot even though I was worried about corals competing for space around there
