I just got my first corals, I haven't dealt with them in the past, so I went with softies and a couple LPS. They all seem to be doing fine as far as I can tell, for now. I am just wondering if I put two of them in good positions.

The first one is a Rainbow Ricordea. It opened up very quickly when I put it in the tank, but now is kind of going taco shaped, is this normal or is it probably getting too much light? I think I have another spot I could move it to, but would prefer not to move it if it doesn't need to be moved.

The other is a green torch, I am wondering if it is getting too much flow or not. It seems to gently wiggle a lot of the time, but sometimes it gets surges of flow and I'm not sure if that's ok or not.

Ric would be shrivelling up with too much light. Looks more like it's riding on water current which is probably more than it wants but not necessarily bad as long as it stays plump like it is. It may however detach in an effort to find somewhere calmer and that is a hassle so you might want to move it somewhere where it can lay down flat or tune down whatever is generating the flow for the same effect.

The torch is on what I would call peak flow. It looks alright but don't go more as it will just get battered. It would be happiest with changes in direction and intensity with what you have as max and falling to say 50% of that for 50% of the time. Hope that makes sense and note it's just my opinion.
