Getting more lights.

Yes but the acro has not lost tissue since i moved it.

My test kit for phos goes
0 .25 .5 so its useless
Notrate goes
0 5 10 .. 150
So its useless as well

Placement is really not the issue. Your tank is too new for corals. I don't see any fish either, what's fueling your bio filter?

You should see some coraline growing before adding corals. I would suggest not adding any more corals and throw some fish in the tank. Remember one thing, nothing good happens fast in a reef tank.

Agree with twillard
You have also to feed with livephyto live rotifers and live copepods since life start in your tank

well there's coralline coming in on the rocks. thats good. Id pull the roaphos cuz why are ya running it. esp with low to no in the tank. The light is fine. is it a flow question?
yea its young tank stuff too.

I have rophos going because my test kit goes

0
0.25
0.5
1
2
5
10

So any green tinge i take it is to high.

The reef roids adds a lot of junk.
So does the phyto feed.

I use the same test Paul b does. I taste it.

Actually I use ATI(taste is more accurate). ive fluctuated between the same 25 an 5 too with no ill effect fwiw, I also run the test 3 times for error checking. Po is also highly debated. I did the research after my largest sps growth while under stupid high no and po.( A fish shredded my DSB.)

I do think that we cant always see health in corals, so its always possible the coral has been on the edge for some time, and then to us it goes Poof. seems sudden, it isnt.

Thanks for the video, I think that will help others to help you. I'm pretty sure placement is not your issue. The first thing I notice is, the system looks very new and very clean. Try to think of it like this, your trying to create a mini ecosystem in a glass box with water. With that said, It won't happen overnight or even in two months. You have some acros and milli's that even some accomplished reef keepers have a lot of questions about. If it was me setting up that tank, I would chill on the corals, buy a fish or two (reef safe) that you like, feed the fish for awhile (month or two), and when you see some coralline algae growing, because you should have other algae by then. I would say at that time your mini ecosystem will have cycled, and you should be ready for some coral. Do a lot of reading along the way, and I wish you the" best of luck"!

No fish it is a qt tank. Each coral is fallow for 42 days.

Since my nutrients are low im switching salts from IO to something with less dkh.

The one acro has not lost any flesh since moving.

Thanks for the inputs.

good call.
hey a thought for you. as it was touched on that its a young tank. Read up on the Red sea Maturity program. its pretty interesting read on how to go from dry to acropora somewhat quickly, zeo and others have them too, but red sea imo was easier to fathom and was info all in one place. I think youll like the read. you can do the same thing off a program with food and seaweed and duct tape too. but the chemistry is the same.

good luck

your welcome. great Qt set up. from dry my coral qt didn't settle in or almost 8 months. I id a month or so of using the water from the DT to season it really seemed to help.. it was empty however. bit I actually still do it from time to time to feed it.

0.13 phos

My fault for mixing salts probably the dkh shock of going from IO REG TO IO REEF
