Hello I had a few questions on coral placement. I currently have 2 Acan coral frags 1 Duncan coral frag and one hammer coral frag and they are all set into the substrate via the frag plugs a few times I have had small pebbles fly up into the acans which they do not like so I was just wondering if I should be putting them the corals on the rocks maybe or if they are fine on the ground

Acans I keep on a rock on the sand, hammers usually the same but I’m also 120-140 PAR on the sand. Duncan I keep in about 200 PAR on the rock, I find it likes more light. I guess it’s more the light required and not really where they are placed. Sand is fine for all as long as they are getting the light needed to grow.

Placement will depend on lights and flow. Acans can go on a rock on the substrate with med flow. Hammers can go mid to top and mid to high flow. You will need to play with placements until you find spot you and your corals like.
