I'm new to the reef keeping hobby and have been running my tank for about half a year and got some coral I have a leather coral (I think dont know coral very well) and it's very small and when I put it in the tank it started to flop over I moved it to a different spot but now I dont think it has enough light and ideas on how to fix this?

I might've rushed adding coral because now the flesh seems to be starting to come off the coral is this from the fish or is my tank too new?

Doesn’t look good. I would dip them (to be sure of pests) and place them in a low light/flow area for the meantime. Stick to that leather for a while and see how it does before adding more. Just my opinion, not trying to tell you how to run your tank.

Nitrate being 0 is an issue. Also need to know phosphate and alkalinity. Calcium and magnesium too if available.

Woke up this morning and caught my damselfish eating the coral could he be the problem ?

I fortunately do not have experience in that issue. I personally do not like damsels and have never had one in any of my tanks. Do you have any other inhabitants?

I do not have any other inhabitants but I am planning to move the damsel to a different tank because I would like my other tank to be a display
