Coral Question

I got a Pom Pom Xenia Coral online from LiveAquaria today, it was suppose to be attached to a 1 inch square plug, but during the shipping the coral came off the plug.
So should I reattach it, or just place the coral in the tank between some rocks if I can get it to stay?

if you can rubber band or tie with fishing line or wedge is good ways to get them to stay kinda hard to glue since the slime they make can come back loose from it

ok, I got him wedged and I think he should say long enough to reattach
