I just wanted to get your thoughts on my slow coral growth and shriveled look. I just recently added a di filter which could have been the problem but I don't get much growth out of any of my corals. Could it just be the tank is to new? Or does it just take time. I have zoanthids that I've had for a year and I've gotten like 10 heads and I have other colonies that I've had for a couple months who only produce 1 head. I even have gsp which grows really slow its about the size of a baseball and I've had it for a year now.
Parameters
Kh-8.0
Calc-450
Mag-1200(haven't been dosing usally at 1500)
No3-3
Phos- 0.01
Ph- 8.5
Salinity- 1.025
Here's some pics of my hammer and alveo which I've seen extend before but there something wrong. The alveo act as a good warning sighn. I've had all my corals for a couple months or longer.

I’m not sure where this ultra low nutrients thing came from.
I’ve had zero success with this thinking.
For years on end now, 10-15ppm nitrate and 0.1-.2ppm phosphate has really worked well.

I don't do it on purpose my nutrients just stay really low I don't even have that many corals

Any idea what your lighting is putting out par wise? Also on the ulns isn't a good way to go did that when the fad started in 2010ish time frame. Corals looked terrible to me they were way better in my 15-20ppm nitrate and .15ish po4 times. What size tank and how many/what kind of fish?

I'm using black box lights. My par in the bottom of the tank is around 100. I have a 125g with a foxface, copperband, forcep, 2 leopard wrasses, yellow coris, royal wrasse, 2 clowns, mandarin dragonet

Pretty good amount of fish maybe up food some or if skimming maybe cut it off for a few hours a day. Do you have a fuge with macros?
I had to fight really hard to get my levels to where yours are back then, even now I struggle. I don't get it. Currently I just have a 30g with an angler I feed once a week. I feed corals maybe every 2 weeks lightly with mysis or a pellet or two maybe once a month I broadcast feed a light amount of reef roids. My nitrate is 10-20 and my phosphate is .03-.08. I change water once a week about 7g. Which I do to achieve a roughly 100% monthly wc.
Everything in my tank looks healthy and is growing so I'm not complaining.

Yea I have a refugium. I started doing daily feeding with ab+ and notice that my alveos aren't closed up so maybe that's the problem.
