Has anyone seen this science experiment, sun screen for the reef using calcium carbonate.

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/scientists-develop-coral-bleach-sun-shield

So has the sun increased in intensity over the last 100 years?
Has the water gotten clearer?
Have all corals been breeding with red heads?

Hmmmmm

Has AIMS lost the plot?

What is everyone's thoughts.

No (or, at least, not to any practical amount), but the things between the sun and the water which reduce the amount of energy reaching the surface have been degraded in that time. So the practical result (for corals) is the same in terms of direct light, I'd think.
