I have a Red People Eater zoa that I bought 11 months ago. When added to my tank it almost immediately melted. The frag disk was attached to my rockwork so I just left it. Tonight while looking at my tank with the blue lights on I noticed a small speck of color on that old frag plug. So I guess it's coming back to life.
I've had it happen before with another zoa, but not after so much time.

So what is the longest anyone has had a coral that had seemed to die but ended up coming back?

Got some I can frag you...

Just picked up the Hawaiian people eaters about 2 months ago.

I don't know that I have had anything resurrect yet. Although I'm sure I'm not patient enough. After a month or so I usually reuse or chuck the plug.

I usually pull the plugs too, but this one was out of the way and glued down so I just left it. It's a cheap zoa so I'm not overly excited by It's coming back, just amazed after so long.
I tried taking a picture but even with a filter the pic was awful so I didn't post it.

Cheap and simple, but I do like them. I need to find the purple variety now.

Lunar landings from JRC if he's got a plug when you go grab one!

Very cool. Never had anything come back after that long. I had an echinata acan come back after 3 or 4 months of seeing nothing at all and skeleton was all aged and brown.
