Hi All!
I purchased this coral about a week ago and it hasn't been looking very happy. There was a dark brown spot around the base that has grown and I decided last night that it was rot. I pulled it out of the tank, gave it a 10 min coral dip with coral rx, cut the rot off, then gently rubber-banded it to a live rock frag from the tank.
Can anyone ID this thing? I bought it at my local coral shop and forgot the name. I'm trying to find more info on it to see if there's anything more I should do as far as placement/lighting/flow goes. I think it might be a Nepthea? This is the "before" photo, the black bit to the left at the bottom of the stalk is what I cut off last night.
