Hello everyone,

I am looking for advice for my tank and am happy to hear anything you will share. Let me tell you my plan.

I have a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon sump that I am setting up. I am setting up a coral tank of hopefully all types (lps, sps, etc) and am mostly wanting to focus on that. I do want some fish/shrimp/etc. Not many but some just to make it look more interesting. Any advice on good ones that will not break the bank and may even be beneficial to the corals?

Any advice on how to get good coraline growth? Any food or anything else that will really benefit the coral and help them grow quickly and healthy?

I have kept coral successfully before but need to figure out how to be more successful while I am planning. Any help or advice would be great.

Thank you for any help you can give.

One more question too. I was given some advice to fill this tank with tap water then use rodi for top offs and water changes. I think that is asking for an algae bloom. Can anyone speak to that?
