Coral? Something else?

Got some Tampa Bay Saltwater live sand recently, and I spotted this today observing my tank. Looks encrusted onto a small piece of rock. The little polyps will retract into their tiny holes when touched. Any idea what this is?

Looks like a bryozoan:

Grey: I think these are bryozoans, which are filter-feeders. I never had success with them in my temperate tank.
