Coral spot feeding questions!

Just spot fed my corals tonight for the first time. My utter chaos did not close when squirted on it. My gsp did react slightly and my leather shroom sucked in some of its green feeders in but not all. We are using coral feast. I mixed up 1 1/2 teaspoon of feed to about 3-4 syringe fulls of water. It was liquid but pretty dark does it need more water? Did the spas just not wanna eat? Do they always close when they eat? New to feeding so any help is greatly appreciated!

how often do you feed?

edit: nevermind i missed the first part! are you turning off your pumps/anything causing flow in the water?

Yes turned off my power heads but had return still going. The tub says 1 time a week for spot feed 2-3 times a week for distribution method.

i’d say you try diluting the food some more or try phytoplankton / reefroids. otherwise just keep trying but they will eventually get some particles as it flows and eat at their own leisure if they’d like to!
