Had a power cut the other day and tank reached 29 degrees Celsius. Only my hammer seems to be struggling. Will it survive or anything I can do to save it? It's been 24 hours since loss of power

Is the tank still at 29C? There’s really no way to tell for now it depends on how long it’s staying at that temperature. I had my tank reach 30C for like 8 hours and it was a close call but everything made it including the hammers.

It was at 29 for about 12 hours. Guess I'll just have to hope it recovers

You can try floating ice in zipper bags to cool the tank, but I'd be more concerned with oxygen.
Is your tank heavily or lightly stocked?

Heavily stocked. 15g with 2 percula clowns, yellowtail damsel, humbug damsel, royal dottyback

Kind of hard to tell from the angle of the pic, but is all that mush on the one head the hammer?

If it is, I would be fragging that head off. Almost looks to be the early onset of brown jelly. Pull it out and smell that mushy looking head. If it smells of death, cut it off before it effects the rest of the coral.

Although 84F isn't super high(my tank gets to 86 for very short periods of times in the summer), it can have detrimental effects in the long run, specially if your inhabitants are used to it.
