Hey everyone,

So every time I do a saltwater change my torches all swell up, (the tentacles) is this normal?

also I am getting these little white fluffy things on my sump walls, is this normal?

LOL! thanks in advance to everyone that responds.

:)

Torch probably likes the water changes. Are you changing on a regular schedule, or to reduce organics? Have you tested your levels before a water change? Might like the reduction in NO3/PO4.

Little white fluffy things are probably pineapple sponges (millions of pictures on Google). Harmless unless growing on and annoying a coral. You can remove them, or leave them if they're not bothering anything. They'll filter your water to an extent.

Yes, I do a change every Sunday 25%.
Yes, levels are:

Salinity - .26
Alk ( high) trying to reduce With new salt
Calcium - 420
Ph 8.4

Thankyou!

No problem!

As long as the coral doesn't start bleaching or receding, you should be fine. They're fickle, crazy little critters.
