Coral tank

Hi I want to start up a coral tank, as a few corals in my tank are getting picked on by my fish. I have a spare 70L tank, would this be ok? What sort of light am I meant to get and how do I go about adding the coral to that tank?

Is there anyway you can plumb the together? That would speed up the process to add corals and give the corals the benefit of the nutrients from your other tank.

As for lights, it all depends on the type of corals you keep.There are myriads of info on lighting. Enough you keep you reading for... months of not longer. The height of the tank will also come into play.

+1 to what’s above me. Your tank is just fine for coral but plumbing both tanks together is very beneficial for your cycle and so the new tank gets good nutrients and bacteria. Personally, I love AI lights and AI Prime/AI Prime HD would work very well for you. My AI Prime tank looks better than my Radion tank imo, the color spectrum is better.

Yeah totally, you can drill for a sump and everything a lot of people do. You could also spring for an AIO

the second is my newest build, its okay right now but it has a lot of potential. The first one is my first salt tank ever and I am very very proud of it! The vibrance the peninsula has is just above and beyond the lagoon tank, its the AI Primes on it. Ive transferred corals between the two tanks and they always look way better in the 20 peninsula that's why its so full! Im gonna switch the lagoon to AI asap. The setup and app are super easy to use with the AI system as well, which I really like.
