Coral trade for a yellow tang

I’ve got a local guy that posted looking for a yellow Kole or yellow tang that someone was needing to rehome. While I don’t need to rehome I have 4 yellows in my DT and I have thought of removing 1 either to another tank or trade locally. The guy is wanting the tang for algae control in his 100 gallon frag tank.

I let him know I had 4 and had contemplated removing 1. He offered to pay or we could trade the tang for corals. I’ve just started getting into coral so I asked what softies he had and also easier sps.

My question is this. How many different coral pieces should I expect to get for the yellow tang? I don’t want either one of us feeling like we got a rotten deal and knowing me I’ll take the shaft cuz I just hate thinking someone feels I got the better deal. Looking up yellow tangs from live Aquaria and Bluezoo and they are $70 to $80 for 2.5” to 3” which is the size of the yellows I have. Also they are all fully qt’d by me and have all been in my DT since November.

Kind of a hard question to answer, but there isn't really a set amount of coral pieces, it more depends on the worth of the individual coral. But just going off the sort of corals you listed you can probably expect around 6-7 frags

So I took the yellow tang to the guys house today and left with 16 different coral pieces.

1 fist sized rock covered in palythoa.
3 chips of green monti cap
5 Kenya tree
1 pink acro 3” to 4”
1 head of branching frogspawn
1 Pavona 2”
1 Xenia coral (not pulsing variety)
3 I think green digitata?

And about 30 micro brittle stars. This guy had micro stars everywhere in his 300 gallon tank! Had drag racks all across the sand and every plug hi picked up had several on the bottom of the plug. Says he tosses 100’s with every sock change!
