Guys uv decided I wanna keep coral soft corals that is I need info before I start. I have a reef ready rank Kent bio with filter skimmer and have life rock. The lights in the hood are blue and white which apparently are good enough to keep corals.
My questions are what light do I need to use and for how long and what else do I need for the corals to thrive. I hear the corals need light thorough out the day. But when I come home it's dark and want the tank on the lights on . If j have the light in during the day and have it in at night is this to much light for the corals?any advice would be appreciated thanks guys

Just run the lights on a timer, set the lights to go on in the pm and off when you're ready to call it a night. Eight to 10 hours of lighting is a pretty routine photoperiod.

Need the brand or type of lighting for more specifics regarding what corals you're lighting type can adequately maintain.

Back in the day when I use bulbs, I had the blues on for 10 hours and the whites on the 7 on timers.

Ok could I set the lights to come on at 7pm then off for 5am then 7pm then of at 5 and so on? What order of lights do I meed and what do I need to feed the coral any nutrition. I'm planing in keeping soft hardy corals

These are my switches in the hood each light has a switch how will the timer know which light to switch on

Are these power compact lights or LED, or T5? Is this tank an all in one tank/aka plug and play.

It's reef ready so I presume the lights are ok there are less and fluorescent bulbs

IS 1 WHITE 1 BLUE AND 1 MOONGLOW. IF SO AND IF THEY HAVE DIFFERENT WIRES, TURN THE WHITE AND BLUE ON AND PUT THEM ON THE SAME TIMER & THE MOONGLOW ON
A DIFFERENT TIMER.
