Hi I was wondering if some type of corals will turn white as the grow and the color returns later?

Usually this happens if alkalinity is high and nutrients on the lower side. A few corals also grow very fast and the skeleton will extend first.

Thanks my ALK is at 8. I just added a couple t5 it doesn't look like bleaching. I'll just seat back and see what happens thanks

It depends on the coral, but definitely new growth on the tips can be white. A picture of what you’re describing would help to confirm.

Here's best pic I can get sry hope helps
