Coral warfare- can my month be saved?

Hey guys, a change in flow resulted in my
hammer within reach of my encrusting monti. The bleaching is spreading, how can I stop it?

Monti are pretty hardy and can grow back over time as long as parameters are good. I had one that I thought completely died and after about a month it started re-encrusting and spreading over its old skeleton.

I hope so. Trying to cut the bleach line wont help?

^ This.. I had a rainbow Monti do the same thing.

If the hammer is continuing to hit the Monti, this will continue to happen. One will have to move.

Yes I moved the hammer several days ago. After I changed the flow and the tank caught up with the new rhythm- as soon as I noticed it could reach I moved it out but the damage was done and the monti is still continuing to bleach.
