Coral warfare. Good idea or bad idea?

A few years ago, I purchased a small colony of an SPS coral from a fellow reefer. Attached to the underside of the rock was a couple of blue mushroom polyps. Over the years, those couple of mushrooms have multipled and have started to relocate and "infest" other areas of my aquascaping. In many locations, the mushrooms have irritated the other corals and have actually caused some to die off from the contact with the polyps.
I have tried removing individual mushroom polyps by cutting them off to the base, using a kalk-paste and even stabbing the polyps into a pulp. Regardless of my efforts, the mushrooms grow back like a hydra and more polyps are present. In short, I'm slowly losing the battle.

From what I know about Acanthastrea echinata corals, these corals are quite aggressive.

So my thoughts have suddenly turned to coral warfare.
Would it be possible to place frags of the Acan echinata amongst the mushrooms and let the acans do my dirty work for me? Would the Acan frags have any effect on the mushrooms?
I wouldn't be placing the Acan frags in those locations permanently; just long enough to devastate the mushrooms and then move them onto the next target.

If anyone has any other methods of eliminating/controlling a mushroom infestation, please chime in.

The Acan echinata is definitely hostile just not sure what it would do to the shrooms. Hydnophora is also a brute.

When I tried the kalk paste, the mushroom was affected some but probably closed up enough to prevent much damage.

I hate mushrooms unless they are covered in a red wine/gravy sauce.......

You have to get it just right if you can inject them in the mouth. I usually inject them and then they shrivel up to real tiny...then you cover with calc paste.
