Coral Warfare...Is it one and done?

I have a torch coral that I believe reached out and popped one of my SPS corals. I really don't recall the name of the SPS. But the picture shows the response of the SPS. See the spot on the far left? That's where I think the torch stung it. What I'm curious about, will being stung insure death? Or is something that's hit and miss? I've attached a picture of the sps. As you can see, its not looking its best. The polyp extension is poorest at the bottom of the sps. Theres a word for when a coral dies from the bottom up. What's that? Any input on the warfare

would be interesting.

Move the torch and give it clearance from other specimens of at least 4". Sweepers extend like you wouldn't believe. Do not move the sps as stability is necessary. Any change could turn it around

Looks like a green pocillopora, and it may come back just fine if you move the Torch out of reach.

I did adjust the torch. Fortunately I had it isolated on it’s on rock so I was able to scoot everything over without too much trouble.
