One of the new ones I am cooking up from Indonesia. Really excited to see how this one turns up.

I have to ask although not sure you’ll tell. How do you pick these out? Not that I can do it now but in a few years I want to try and order some maricultured acros and grow them

That cw nerd explosion is to die for!

Hey!

I just honestly guess based on the pictures I see straight from indo or soon after they got into the US. Like the one I posted yesterday will most likely get a good amount darker, hopefully it will keep the yellow but wouldnt be surprised if that turns green.

The Nerd Explosion was orange/pink when I got it and I knew it would most likely turn darker, the red it has turned though is insane. It stands out in my tank, its my favorite coral.

Very beautiful colonies. Mice work.

What kind of nutrient and ALK numbers are you keeping for these wilds?
Thank you!! So the ones I brought in last year that I have named and selling frags of, I had around a 70% success rate. I got 15 of them and 10 have completely became used to aquarium life and I have friends that have had frags for 6 months now too doing great.

The ones I just posted this weekend, I hope I have the same success or even better.

I actually keep my alk way different then what everyone says to do for indos and also nutrients. My alk is between 8.5-9 (I use a calcium reactor and do 10-15% weekly water changes) and my phosphates are actually 0.1 and my nitrates around 10 so way higher then most people ever would like. It is working and I am too scared to put gfo or something to lower the phosphates.

Here is another one I am cooking from Indo, really hoping this one keeps the yellow but won’t be surprised if it changes to green. Just how it goes sometimes. I have it in the highest par spot and so far so good but really won’t know for a couple months.

I run the same numbers on NO3 and PO4 and a little lower on ALK. Man, if that yellow/gold stays.... whoa.

Thank you, I really hope so but I honestly doubt it will just from experience I have had in the past. I am blasting it with par though so we will see, wont know for months haha
