I just got a new soft coral, this is a discosoma. The black one is the new one. I hope these mushrooms grow out soon!

I’m using a Fluval brand light, I have to discosoma mushrooms, 1 acan, and a GSP on a frag rack, I’m using normal grain sand, and I have 3 hermit crabs. My filter is also a Quiet Flow 10.

is the light made for reef tanks? you need blue light, and your are going to have lots of problems with that set up and sized tank

My friends boss gave him that light, and thy previously used it for reef, my friend told me that white light was fine. Its a 5 gallon, I’m saving up to get at least a 10 gallon because thats the biggest my dad will let me get.

I’m using a heater and a filter. I’ve never heard of rodi water.

Oh yeah, do you mean Reverse osmosis/ Detoxified.
Yeah I use that.

All I have is a filter, a light, and a heater. I want to get a wave maker but I have to wait until I get at 10 gallon because having a wave maker in 5 gallons is a mess.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, there are plenty of small volume pico tanks that are doing great.
