It looks like some kind of algae to me. I don't think it's part of, or being produced by, the ricordea. Can you siphon it up or blow it away with a turkey baster? It looks like you've got a smaller patch growing behind the rics too.

Thats a ric. The Algea has nothing to do with it. What are your parameters at? How is the flow ? Tap or Ro?
It’s definitely coming from the Ricordea that small patch in the back was where I had the Ricordea before and moved it out. Then it started spreading at the new spot. I know it’s definitely coming from the Ricordea.

It looks like new growth hair algae, might have had some on the plug when you placed it...I would use a (NEW, cleaned in RO water) cat litter box scooper ( this is my GHA tool) and scoop it out, might loose some substrate, but in my experience it rolls up like carpet and removes a tiny amount of substrate.
Yep that was going to be my next question. What is the ricordea attached to? If it’s a frag plug, can you just get rid of the whole plug? If it’s not a drag plug, do you have a coral safe dip that will get rid of algae? You’d still need to remove the algae from the sand bed.
All that said, if the conditions are right to grow algae in your tank, you’ll grow algae whether or not it’s growing off the ricordea. What are your nitrate and phosphate levels at? How old is your tank? Do you use rodi water? What do you have for CUC and how big is your tank?
