I would stay away from that personally, as it is only blue/white LEDs.

blue/white LED's are the only color needed for a reef aquarium. Red, green, violet, uv, etc. are only wasting space in the fixture and wasting electricity making the lights less efficient. Red is more suitable for plant growth and will likely therefore increase algae growth. I think the current fad of all these colored LED's will dissappear once people realize it is a gimmick. No one used red, green, yellow or purple power compact, T5 or halides in the history of reefkeeping. Why would LED be any different? Reef aquariums need actinic and white 10,000k - 14,000k only.

So full spectrum can be achieved by just running 10k and 14k?

I thought the reason why companies are adding red, green, uv, etc was to achieve a more complete spectrum of lighting as well as adding some color to the tank as well.

White light contains the full spectrum of color. People use 10k or 14k to get more blue light which brings the color out in the corals. I think adding green or red is a waste of bulb space and electricity. The more green & red, the less intensity of white and blue.

I say this exact seem thing in threads and I get jumped on!

Maxspect is the bomb. Even though I bought the Mazarras used, I asked Chris from CoralVue that I had a bad swivel joint and he did not hesitate in sending me one at no cost. Awesome products with outstanding support.

I received a faulty razor and so had no lights and was at risk of losing my tank. They FedEx overnighted me a new one at no cost to me. Awesome company! I'll be a lifelong customer!
