Looking good!

That does look good! Just a heads up, don't waste your money on anything but soft coral and a few easy care lps. Stock lights in the tank are fine for those. We just upgraded to a Steve's LED light. It mounts right in your hood. My 10 year old installed his own.

Your stock lights will NOT be ok for any anemone other than rock flower anemones and mini maxi carpet nems.

Thanks and that's my plan. Only doing the upgrade it I want to go to sps but that's a long way down road. I have a bigger tank for that.

Lol. Ok. Sorry, I was trying to make sure you didn't waste money on something that wouldn't do well. There are some awesome Biocubes on here!

I have seen some too! If you try it, post lots of pics.

No I understand trust me. $$$ a lot invested so far. But I have personal seen an amazing stock Biocube with tons of anemone. But they were raised to a larger size in a different tank and transfered. But have been in the Biocube for 5 years now and doing amazing still

I was wondering about that...you happen to know if they were on the bottom of the tank when they were born?

I do know these were at the top...I have heard and read what your talking about thou. As I said I was told but not sure he raised the coral and anemone in another tank and then transfered. But will find out more details Friday a.m.

Please let me know. I'm curious about the same thing because I have seen them do just fine.

Would you see if he's got the new LED hood, or old school with compact fluorescents. Take a pic under his hood if he'll let you. If he has the older CF LED combo I have a hood like that. I'd be glad to send it if you you want to swap yours out. It's flawless btw.

It the new led hood like mine he switched it out with one the store got as a return. Was the older one a better light? New to the biocube.

Honestly I'm not sure. I have the OLD Oceanic CF only hood. My son had the new LED hood, mine does much better with growth. His does better color. The older Coralife with both, I'm not sure. I can see how it would give you the best of both worlds. I'd love to see a side by side comparison of all 3.

This is the older Coralife CF/led combo. You can plug either blue or white into those 4 slots in any combo you want.
