Coralife Marine Filter & skimmer

I just received this from marine depot to throw on my 20g qt and wow what a pile of garbage this thing is. No wonder why it’s only $35. The thing is so loud I can hear it from the next room over. I took it apart and found that the impeller is only held in place magnetically in a chamber that is too large and is clanking around the housing. Next we move on to the truly unbelievable amount of micro bubbles. So bad in fact I can’t even use the skimmer function and therefore is so loud I ended up just using my aqueon hob insuead. The back corner of the skimmer chamber just has a square cutout to feed the filter and no wonder why there’s so many micro bubbles pouring out of the tning. Another disappointment from coralife...
