Am I the only few that use coralife salt? I just switched over last month and I have tested freshly mixed at around 11 DKH, is this normal? I though it was supposed to be around 8.

Heard Kent is slightly better and lower in alk. I chose coralife over Kent because it was cheaper and as far as now petco carry them at a reasonable price and have sales quit often.I'm pretty sure it's the same salt as Kent. A decent enough product but I always thought it was similar to IO in terms of parameters.
I have always use IO, this is about the same price and IO was not consistent for me so I switched. Here in Wi, People still use this and Kent as we have an LFS who sells both at $38 /case
I believe this is also the salt they use for their store displays
Nice. I mean, it’s less than $35 per bucket and it mixes better than IO.My lfs uses this salt. I haven't tried it myself. But I have not had any issues with live stock from that store at all. It is my go to store actually.
I switched few months ago mainly due to only slightly more experience than IO and looking for something lower alk. I tested one or twice of freshly made and it was around 8.5. I really don’t care about vitamins as I dose and if the mag is low that’s perfect, my tank always high in mag. Not sure if it’s the Red Sea kit not being accurate lol.I used this salt in the past, about 6 months, low on Alk, (11 sounds error) low on MG, high on CA, contains no vitamins as described heavy marketing and found to be sold underweight. But Salt is salt, I doubt that would be the root of your losses. Make sure you tumble your salt in case mix is settling. I changed as I was getting some crud, floating on the top after mixing.
