Coraline Algae growth to much..!

All these year and years and I don't really know the answer to this.. lol.

Is it truthfully bad to have "everyone" of your rocks covered in your tank very massively thick... I mean everyone of them - fully covered.. I have wondered about this for years and years now, I really don't know the answer to this at all. They are now sealed so tightly and to me that means the rocks can't breath or even leach in or out anything. Is that good as well..? Sure cracks and holes are still somewhat present, but not like white dead coal.. Does this make any sense? Is this really a good thing...??

Doe's anyone out there have problems with to much Coraline Algae growth on there tank ( acrylic tank ) and even the snails are covered with it. I just love the color of my snails, but they are just purple. How can I stop this or just slow down the growth on the snails..? I move one on top of the other to clean each other all the time... Help.... :).
Get some sea urchins, the tuxedo and Halloween urchins eat that stuff up!

I think the key is just to keep up with it from the beginning. From day one I spent about 5 minutes a week scraping the back glass and overflow. Once it gets bad, I personally would probably just take a small area each week and scrape/siphon out until it is all gone. The urchins do help a lot.....the bottom of all of my rock is perfectly clean due to the urchins lol.
