CORALINE ALGAE?

I've been getting these spots show up after every week. Is it coraline algae ??? It's really hard to tell what color but I'll say it's more towards brown.

Quite possible, are your rock all purple or getting patches on it? If I don't scrape my glass every few days I will get patches of coraline growing as well. If it just comes of with a magnet without the scraper it could just be a form of brown algae.

Yeah I'm getting brown dust algae and spot algae. My rocks are painted purple. But these spot algae are a pain in the *** to get rid of as I have to literally scrape it off with a razor.

Painted purple? The decorative rock that comes that way? The easiest way to get coraline in your system is to introduce it from a frag plug or a rock from an established system. I assume you are wanting some in your tank?

Yeah not sure if painted but man made dry rock which comes purple. Yeah I did that a while back I think it's starting to form a little now.
