Hey guys my tank is at the end of its cycle. it had been 5 weeks and this Saturday I am picking up my first tank mates. 2 clown fish and a few snails for the corl one and green algae starting to grown. I just started to notice that in my sump there are purple dots growing and to find out its coraline algae. Kind of exciting lol. Is it ok for coraline in my refugium I keep my light on 24 7 because it is a 5k led bulb. I'm not sure if it is growing in the DT. It's not on the glass and my rock is the purple 2.1 so can't tell. But is it ok for it to be in the sump? And what does this mean that I have coraline algea so soon? It's only been 5 weeks. Thanks for your help

Yes it is ok to be in the sump, it is good stuff to have.
The reason it is there is because your seed rock upstairs has it and is is now starting to grow in the fuge. The fact that you are running the lights 24/7 is also helping it along.
Kudos to you for getting it to take off so quickly.

I was under the impression that if you don't seed the tank with Coralline algae it won't grow out of its own... But I may be mistaking

Idk from what I read the water has to be just right. My rock was fully cured when I bought it so maybe some was on it
