This started popping up everywhere in the tank. Dark red spots. This is the most heavily covered rock though.

I don't think thats coraline.

I can't really tell from the pic but My guess is either Red Planaria or the start of Cyano?

Yes, that looks like coraline, just to make sure try to scratch it wont come off easy.

Cheers

It looks a bit more red than purple to me... could be the lighting. I would say one of these:

Coraline.

planaria

My guess is Cyano.

As robert mentioned... scratch it - does it come off easy or is it hard?

I'm about to head back to work but I'll scratch at it later tonight or tomorrow.

Theres one spot that is thinner that the snails and crabs have gone over for the past week or so. I can't get the pic to upload.

I don't think it's cyano, clearly doesn't just wipe off and I've nearly eradicated all the visible cyano that showed up through cycling.

I have some spots of the same color. One crab's shell is 100% covered like this. I think it's just a coralline that doesn't grow really great in reef aquariums, so it's not as common as the purple. I've never worried about it and it's never overgrown anything.
