Coraline?!

I’m only 8 weeks in but could this be the beginning of coralline?! Never really had the ugly stage. Hopefully this is good?

If it's only 8 weeks old it's more likely a little cyano

Possibly. It may get really green and brown before you really start seeing magenta and purple. In my tank I skipped the ugly stage and went straight to coralline.

Thanks I’ve got some really bright green stuff in there too.

Tank seems a bit new. I’m going on like nearly a year now and don’t think I’ve seen new coralline lol. I seeded with live rock, and a few hermits that had coralline on their shells.

To be honest though I’m overrun with algae at the moment so that’s why

It is! There seems to be something new everyday. I literally spot a new creature, or something happening I didn’t notice before everytime I look at the tank.

Someone on here once said to me “Nothing good in this hobby happens fast, and anything bad will happen without warning”

It’s very true, lots of patience is required
