Is this coraline algae starting to grow? These are the only places I see it.

Looks like cyano. Coraline typically covers plastic parts like powerheads first. If it blows off or brushes off easily then cyano for sure or some type of red algae.
Yes it did brush away pretty easily. So not coraline. Need to keep an eye on it. Been struggling with my phosphate and nitrate levels. High phosphate and no nitrates. Been dosing nitrates but it just will not come up.

probsbly common cyano based on the color

Feed more to the fish. Around 5 months coraline will start on your plastic parts if conditions are right. Seed it with some snails that have coraline on the shells.

I’m letting you guys know that red coralline does exist. I have a ton in my tank from the KP rocks I added.

It is not cyano.

On the topic of coraline do y'all think the bottled products work to introduce coraline or is it better to just find a snail with some on its shell?

It is not cyano.
Uh, he said it brushed off easily? But you are correct coralline does come in different colors although not readily seen in our tanks.

My post was in response to this comment:

“Looks a little too dark to be corraline”

I understand that the OP has cyano; I'm just informing that coralline can come in cyano colors.
