coralline algae dying

45 AIO system has great coralline algae growth but a section of it just died. Completely whited out.... the weird thing is that around the tank there are immaculate sections of corralline growing beautifully. I did a larger water change about a week ago and a larger RO top off because my salinity had been high. Other than that no changes to the system. Anybody have this happen? Any thoughts on how to prevent this in the future? PM's coming

Is it white where it was out of water for a while during the wc?

Did that section dry out while you were doing the water change?

that must be it! I did leave it out for a little while... But not for more than 10-20 minutes... Any hope for the section or no Bueno

Either it'll come back or more will grow over it.
Hard to stop, once your parameters and light are correct.
