Coralline Algae High PH 8.3, Low PH 7.8 Growth

Hello, can people post some pictures of coralline growth with different ph parameters?

My PH is at 7.8; does coralline algae grow faster with a PH of 8.1 to 8.3?

I have good coralline growth. Over the course of time, depending on the time of day my pH gets as high as 8.3 and as low as 7.8, so they both can grow it. It would make sense that it may grow faster at a higher pH.

I should add. I would NOT chase pH to get coralline growth though. It will come in time, with patience, either way.

Agreed with above. There have been studies and anecdotal evidence to suggest sps corals grow faster at higher PH. I would bet this extends to coralline algae.

However I wouldn't chase PH to achieve anything other than incremental growth in sps once you have an established and mature reef. Coralline will eventually become a nuisance, it chews through your calcium and alkalinity.

I don't test Ph currently since I wouldn't be able to change it anyway, however I do have kalkwasser in my ATO so I assume its not that low.
