Hi All,

I am a newb to this site here and here is my first of many posts lol. I have coralline growing everywhere and fast in a 16 g Innovative Marine. Including my hang on fuge, entire glass surfaces, inside pumps, places I have never seen it growing before. From what I have been reading and from my experience coralline is a great algae to have...but is too much growth a bad thing?

Thank You!

its not a bad thing at all to have but you want to keep up on removing it from your viewing area of your glass as it can be hard to it get off

Its not a bad thing, until you get tired of scraping it off. Signs of a healthy system.

I think corraline is a great algae. It's a low nutrient algae and won't survive where nutrients are high. Good job! Corraline needs magnesium and alkalinity (bicarbonate) to grow. Some say strontium too.
