Coralline Algae

Hey fellow reefers, looking to see if anyone has used the ARC product Coralline Algae in a Bottle. I’ve got some a few spots of the purple growing and am looking for a boost. I have only found about 4 credible reviews online and they are 50/50 so let me know if you have tried it and what type of results you got.

Seems they now have a pink as well as the purple.

If you have any corraline in your tank, then just boost your calcium a bit and it will take over. You may soon regret it.

That is the main benefit but it should also help with nuisance algae. Takes up most of the real estate that a bad algae would use. It also has a chemical defense that help to out-compete the bad stuff.

Oh ok, dont know why but i never had any coralline algae what so ever. I might just buy something like that.

Really, most companies just sell calcium supplements and market it as coralline algae in a bottle. Literally just go to your LFS ask for a piece of LR rubble or an old encrusted frag plug or something with coralline on it and boost your Ca and Alk

I found this company at the end of last year I did a couple of videos about the product. Just keep in mind that I didnt have any live rock brought into my tank, for fear of hitchhikers. No coarlline algae was present in my tank to start.

Purple Helix worked for me. Took about a month or so.
